Role

As the Senior Manager, OTC Confirmations, you will lead a global team responsible for managing specialized OTC trade confirmation requirements across GBM, Treasury, and Wealth. Your team supports a diverse range of products including Equity, Interest Rate, Credit, Commodity, and FX Options. You will oversee all aspects of operational performance—driving efficiency, ensuring compliance, managing risk, and delivering exceptional service. In addition, you will play a key role in shaping the department’s strategic direction and ensuring alignment with broader GWO and GBM goals.

Drive Operational Excellence
  • Lead a customer‑focused culture that strengthens client relationships and leverages Bank‑wide capabilities.
  • Prioritize departmental activities, ensuring resources and staffing levels meet business demands.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly transaction volumes and operational metrics, providing direction or escalation where necessary.
  • Continuously review processes to identify opportunities for automation, risk reduction, and improved client service.
  • Oversee monitoring of unconfirmed transactions to prevent risk exposure.
  • Ensure all large‑value or aged items are proactively addressed and resolved.
  • Identify root causes of operational issues, implementing solutions that minimize future risk.
  • Support the development, execution, and maintenance of a strong management control framework.
Support Technology & Innovation
  • Contribute to the implementation and optimization of systems supporting trade confirmations.
  • Provide leadership in User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements or new platforms.
  • Support and troubleshoot unplanned system issues, including after‑hours incidents when required.
  • Champion automation and Straight‑Through Processing (STP) across new and existing programs.
Leadership & Culture
  • Lead with the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite in mind.
  • Build and empower a high‑performing team through strong people management, development, and succession planning.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and values‑based environment.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior experience in an Operations or Trade Support environment, ideally within Capital Markets, Treasury, or Wealth, as well as experience leading high performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, post trade processes, controls, and risk management - whether in OTC derivatives, listed derivatives, FX, fixed income, or equities.
  • Experience working with complex or non standard trading products, or in roles involving trade documentation, structured products, prime brokerage, repo/securities lending, or loan operations.
  • Knowledge of OTC derivative products, how they are structured, and how confirmations work; familiarity with ISDA Definitions and industry templates is an asset.
  • Experience working with trade capture, confirmations, or workflow automation tools (e.g., DTCC, MarkitWire, Xceptor, or similar), and comfort supporting system enhancements, UAT, or production troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate operational risk, regulatory obligations, audits, and formal control frameworks.
  • A track record of driving process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency within complex environments.
  • Prior experience (not required but highly valuable): exposure to global regulatory frameworks, business continuity planning, or high volume transaction processing environments.
Benefits
  • A rewarding career path with diverse opportunities for professional development.
  • An organization committed to making a difference in our communities – for you and our customers.
  • A competitive rewards program including bonus, flexible vacation, personal and sick days, and comprehensive benefits that start on your first day.
