Overview

Position Summary

Samsung Electronics Canada seeks a Senior Manager, Corporate Brand & Paid Media to lead, develop and execute corporate brand campaigns and set the strategic framework for paid media planning. This role manages corporate marketing programs affecting Samsung’s corporate reputation and brand imagery, contributing to divisional performance targets for Mobile Experiences (MX) and Consumer Electronics (CE). The role champions cross-divisional marketing programs, ensuring consistency and alignment with strategic marketing messaging to support Samsung’s reputation as an ethical, innovative company.

This role defines and leads the marketing strategy through creation, development and implementation of consumer-focused integrated marketing plans. While focusing on integrated marketing communications, the incumbent should be flexible to work on ad hoc marketing programs as business needs arise.

Key responsibilities (overview): Develop and execute consumer marketing strategies aligned to corporate brand objectives; collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute fully integrated, strategic marketing campaigns; lead IMC strategy, creative development and execution across touch-points; leverage Marketing Intelligence to optimize strategy and execution; manage budgets and IMC timelines to ensure timely implementation.

Role and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Corporate Integrated Brand Campaigns (50%)

The role involves agency management, creative development, leading cross-functional teams and collaboration with key internal and external partners. Key skills include strategic thinking, agency management, creative concept evaluation, project management, teamwork, and creative/strategic acumen. The candidate must balance multiple projects, shape creative content, and lead creative discussions with partners.

  • Be the champion and lead for all corporate masterbrand integrated marketing campaigns (IMCs) such as Live Commerce, UGC, SmartThings and Loyalty.
  • Lead IMC planning process by building campaign briefs, reviewing agency plans (Paid Media, Digital, Social, PR, Influencer and CRM) and approving all tactical elements to support launches.
  • Manage holistic planning and execution with agency partners (Paid Media, CRM, PR, etc.) for all Samsung corporate campaigns.
  • Act as the champion for brand integrity and compliance in all materials.
  • Collaborate with agency partners to create insightful quarterly reviews, monthly scorecards, weekly performance and relevant campaign reports for stakeholders.
  • Internal Samsung subject matter expert (SME) on all things Samsung corporate brand.
  • Provide liaison with HQ, NAHQ or third parties to source marketing assets and best practices.
  • Estimate scope of work, prepare budgets, and create plan proposals (PPs) and execution orders (EOs) as part of planning and approval.
  • Continuously look for new opportunities to grow Samsung’s corporate reputation.
  • Review key programs to ensure ROI targets are achieved.

Corporate Marketing Initiatives

  • Lead division-wide key marketing initiatives with on-time and in-scope project management.
  • Collaborate on strategic initiatives aligned to current market needs and Corporate Marketing priorities.
  • Support the development of corporate marketing presentations for leadership reviews and strategy task force as needed.

Paid Media Strategy (50%)

  • Oversee the execution of paid digital and social media activities within all Integrated Marketing Campaigns (IMC) across all LOBs by managing and reviewing agency media plans.
  • Act as a key point of contact with platform partners and agencies to form digital media strategies, focusing on relationships with digital & social media partners (e.g., TikTok, Meta, Google, Spotify, Amazon), and drive value and efficiencies from partnerships and cross-campaign coordination.
  • Build and lead a test-and-learn approach to new platforms and activities; drive incremental value for the brand strategy.
  • Recommend paid media optimizations in partnership with media agencies; synthesize media data into actionable insights for future briefs.
  • Serve as SME on digital and social media across all marketing programs.
  • Collaborate with other SMEs to align strategies to the campaign brief and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities in digital and social media marketing and leverage global partnerships; ensure campaigns stay within budget.
  • Collaborate with partners to produce quarterly reviews, monthly scorecards, weekly performance reports, and other campaign analytics.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred

Knowledge

  • Proven performance in creative development
  • Brief writing, original/adapted advertising concepts, media planning, and digital/social marketing savvy
  • Ability to present campaign briefs with clear direction, KPIs and targets
  • Strong understanding of brand marketing fundamentals; translate insights into a single-minded strategy and action plan
  • Experience adapting global assets for local markets with creative agency
  • Experience managing channels such as Paid Media (TVC, OOH), Digital (Display, OLV, Programmatic), CRM (Email, SMS), Social (Google, Meta, TikTok), PR, Influencer and other ATL/BTL tactics
  • Strong digital channel best practices to maximize performance and efficiency
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with experience reporting on insights and results
  • Ability to manage complex issues with limited supervision
  • Creative concept evaluation, agency management, and brief development expertise
  • Strategic selling and ability to translate brand/creative strategy into action
  • Up-to-date with marketing trends and measurement; able to scale efforts
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking to connect digital and in-person tactics

Skills and Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in consumer brand marketing; masterbrand preferred
  • 5+ years project management experience leading strategic corporate initiatives with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated career progression within the last 12–18 months
  • Self-motivated with resilience to work with limited supervision; ability to manage complex issues
  • Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills; proven team collaboration ability

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $105,000 to $145,000 and reflects base salary only. Actual pay will be determined based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, competencies, qualifications, relevant skills and experience.
