A career as a Senior Manager, Accounting on the Finance team means acting as an expert in accounting and financial reporting. This role focuses on IFRS expertise, leadership of accounting teams, and process improvement in a dynamic environment.

Your Job

• Ensure accurate and timely financial closes for key subsidiaries.
• Lead a team of finance professionals and oversee the execution of daily and monthly accounting transactions.
• Perform variance analysis to validate the reliability of financial information.
• Support integration of Canadian Western Bank systems into National Bank processes.
• Supervise account reconciliations and ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
• Identify opportunities for improvement, simplify processes, and leverage technology and automation.
• Contribute to special projects and support system integration in collaboration with various teams.

Within the Accounting sector, you are part of a team based in Edmonton and across the country, reporting to the Associate Vice-President, Accounting.
