Qualifications

• Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate.
• Red Seal Certificate preferred.
• Experience in large quantity food preparation in healthcare or retirement settings is a must.
• Knowledge of Provincial Food Premises Regulation and Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating is required.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver all foods for residents, guests, and employees.
• Ensure use of proper food handling techniques.
• Complete daily temperature audits for fridges and storerooms.
• Participate in planning special occasion meal days.
