Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to manage drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of relevant experience and excellent communication skills. This position is hybrid with in-office requirements two days a week in Cambridge, Ontario. Strong candidates will have insurance regulatory experience.

Overview

Senior Legal Counsel, 5+ Years

Cambridge, Ontario (Hybrid)

12-Month Contract

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Addressing matters related to privacy law, regulatory compliance, and other relevant areas.
• Involved in the day-to-day legal operations of the company, reporting directly to the General Counsel.
• Travel to Cambridge, Ontario, 2-3 times per month.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Insurance regulatory experience will be considered an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts clearly to a diverse range of audiences.

This is a hybrid position. The company operates on a two-day-per-week in-office model.
