Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a Senior Integration Engineer- CICD, you will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable integration solutions that translate business needs into robust technical architectures. You will ensure quality and reliability across systems, actively contribute to continuous improvement within cross‑functional teams, and focus on building secure, high‑performing integration platforms. In the CI/CD & Automation aspect of the role, you will design and implement automated pipelines and integration frameworks that enable rapid, secure, and compliant software delivery across backend and integration systems. You will apply best practices and drive ongoing enhancements in how services are built, deployed, and operated.

This is a Full‑time, Permanent role based at Vancity head office and will report directly to the Manager, Integration Platforms. Our head office is based in Vancouver, but we are open to candidates in BC and Ontario. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on‑site for events and business demands when needed.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
  • Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining integration solutions with a focus on scalability and reliability
  • Automating provisioning, configuration, and deployment to support scaling, resilience, and repeatability
  • Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for integration and API workloads
  • Reviewing code and providing constructive feedback to uphold best practices
  • Mentoring junior and intermediate engineers to support technical growth
  • Collaborating cross‑functionally with product, design, QA, and operations teams
  • Driving adoption of modern integration patterns and tools
Reliability, Security & Governance:
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure platform reliability and operational excellence.
  • Embed security controls and governance into CI/CD pipelines (secrets management, approvals, policies).
  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise, regulatory, and audit requirements typical of financial institutions.
Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Act as a technical leader within the Integration Platforms team, mentoring engineers on DevOps and platform practices.
  • Partner with architecture, security, and application teams to align delivery pipelines with enterprise standards.
  • Contribute to platform roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of backend software development experience
  • Deep understanding of RESTful and/or GraphQL API design, versioning, and lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of authentication, authorization, security, and performance optimization
  • Strong hands‑on experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering roles with a focus on cloud‑native integration platforms.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing mature CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including automated build, test, and deployment stages.
Azure Expertise:
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, particularly:
    • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
    • Azure API Management (APIM)
    • Azure Front Door / Application Gateway
    • Azure Service Bus and Azure Event Grid
    • Azure Functions and Azure Logic Apps
  • Strong understanding of containerized workloads, Kubernetes networking, and runtime operations.
  • Experience supporting or operating MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) in production environments.
Security Pipeline Integration:
  • Hands‑on experience embedding security controls into CI/CD pipelines, including:
    • Static and dynamic code analysis (SAST/DAST)
    • Dependency and container image scanning
    • Secrets management and secure configuration
  • Knowledge of network security concepts, including private endpoints, firewalls, WAF, and secure ingress/egress patterns.
  • Experience working within regulatory, audit, and compliance frameworks common to financial institutions.
What You’ll Earn:

This role offers a salary range of $101,200 to $130,000 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
