We are building VGW’s next generation infrastructure platform on AWS. And we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team in Perth.

In terms of our tech stack, our infrastructure is container‑based, running on AWS EKS, supported by MSK, Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudFront, and S3 for front‑ends. We provision infrastructure with Terraform and use GitHub Actions for CI/CD. Grafana and Honeycomb are core to our observability stack.

What you will bring to the role:

• Experience working in a collaborative technical team.
• Previous experience building & operating container‑based infra on AWS (preferably with EKS).
• Previous experience with DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and observability, container orchestration and streaming platforms (Kafka).
• Previous experience with big data technologies, distributed computing, data warehousing, and cloud platforms. Expertise in Databricks/Spark or Snowflake would be an advantage, but not essential.
• Understanding of resilience techniques and patterns.
• Understanding of cloud security techniques.
• Experience with ITIL processes and practices.
