Lead investigation and response for security incidents and drive root‑cause remediation.

Partner with engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and software development processes.

Conduct security assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration test reviews.

Develop and maintain security standards, patterns, and technical documentation.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to security analysts and engineers.

Track emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies relevant to Switch’s environment.

What We’re Looking For

Exercises strong technical judgment when evaluating risk and response options.

Communicates security issues clearly to both technical and non‑technical partners.

Remains calm and methodical during incident response and high‑impact events.

Takes ownership of complex problems and drives them to resolution.

Works collaboratively across engineering, operations, and infrastructure teams.

What You’ll Bring

6 or more years of experience in information security or security engineering roles.

Strong understanding of security across networks, operating systems, applications, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Hands‑on experience with security tooling such as SIEM, IDS or IPS, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and IAM platforms.

Experience securing modern architectures including containers, Kubernetes, APIs, and microservices.

Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell.

Deep familiarity with common attack techniques and defensive frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and OWASP Top 10.

Ability to translate security risk into clear, actionable guidance.
