This role is eligible to participate in Webflow’s company-wide bonus program. Target amounts are a percentage of base salary and vary by career level. Payouts are based on company performance against established financial and operational goals.

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager
Responsibilities
- Build performant, accessible, and scalable user interfaces using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Jest, Storybook, and Webflow’s Spring Design System.
- Own features end-to-end from design handoff through implementation, launch, and iteration — ensuring a polished, user-centric experience at every stage.
- Partner closely with design, product, and engineering teams to deliver user-centric features, optimize performance, and ensure seamless user experiences.
- Drive improvements to the frontend + backend codebase and introduce best practices around accessibility, performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with urgency, clarity, and a focus on delivering reliable and resilient experiences.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering growth in frontend technologies (with exposure to backend fundamentals) and instilling best practices in scalable, maintainable code.
- Stay current with emerging frontend frameworks, tooling, and trends. Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve development workflows and enhance user interfaces.

About you
You’ll thrive as a Senior Frontend Engineer if you…
- Have 5+ years of experience as a frontend/UI engineer with some backend exposure, and a proven track record of shipping high-quality features to production.
- Are highly proficient in React, Next.js, and modern CSS patterns, and know how to architect scalable, maintainable interfaces.
- Are comfortable with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Playwright, Cypress, Mocha) and value automated testing as part of the development process.
- Treat web accessibility as a first-class priority and incorporate it into design and development from the start.
- Thrive in fast-paced, collaborative, cross-functional teams, working closely with design, product, and backend partners.
- Embrace an agile, iterative, and safe-to-fail environment, balancing speed with quality and long-term maintainability.
- Are willing to share responsibility for production systems, including being comfortable with on-call rotations and responding to issues with urgency and clarity.
