Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Build performant, accessible, and scalable user interfaces using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Jest, Storybook, and Webflow’s Spring Design System.
• Own features end-to-end from design handoff through implementation, launch, and iteration — ensuring a polished, user-centric experience at every stage.
• Partner closely with design, product, and engineering teams to deliver user-centric features, optimize performance, and ensure seamless user experiences.
• Drive improvements to the frontend + backend codebase and introduce best practices around accessibility, performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with urgency, clarity, and a focus on delivering reliable and resilient experiences.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering growth in frontend technologies (with exposure to backend fundamentals) and instilling best practices in scalable, maintainable code.
• Stay current with emerging frontend frameworks, tooling, and trends. Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve development workflows and enhance user interfaces.

About you

You’ll thrive as a Senior Frontend Engineer if you…

• Have 5+ years of experience as a frontend/UI engineer with some backend exposure, and a proven track record of shipping high-quality features to production.
• Are highly proficient in React, Next.js, and modern CSS patterns, and know how to architect scalable, maintainable interfaces.
• Are comfortable with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Playwright, Cypress, Mocha) and value automated testing as part of the development process.
• Treat web accessibility as a first-class priority and incorporate it into design and development from the start.
• Thrive in fast-paced, collaborative, cross-functional teams, working closely with design, product, and backend partners.
• Embrace an agile, iterative, and safe-to-fail environment, balancing speed with quality and long-term maintainability.
• Are willing to share responsibility for production systems, including being comfortable with on-call rotations and responding to issues with urgency and clarity.
