Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst provides critical support to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) team by processing, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to guide strategic decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for leading forecasting, budgeting, pricing, and analytics initiatives, and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver insights that drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Build driver-based models and collaborate with business leaders to develop and present financial plans
  • Reporting & Analysis: Deliver monthly/quarterly reports, KPIs, and P&L commentary; support accounting close processes
  • Driving Financial Insights Through Cross-Functional Collaboration: Leveraging financial insights to align stakeholders, resolve complex planning challenges, and drive strategic decision-making that improves forecasting accuracy and business decisions
  • Pricing & Business Cases: Create pricing models for contracts and RFPs; provide ad hoc financial support to business units
  • Analytics & Insights: Apply statistical techniques to identify trends and risks; synthesize findings into clear, actionable presentations
Qualifications
  • CPA designation or Master’s in Finance preferred
  • 5+ years in financial analysis, budgeting / forecasting and reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Adaptive Insights or similar planning tools is an asset
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills to present financial insights to diverse stakeholders
  • Proven financial technical skills, including working knowledge of journal entries, accruals, and financial statements
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • This is a hybrid role and could require travel to our Markham office on need basis
