A leading IT consulting firm is seeking a Senior DevOps Specialist to lead the modernization of CI/CD infrastructure. The role requires expertise in CI/CD tools and practices, strong collaboration with development teams, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, supporting Agile methodologies, and ensuring system reliability. This is a full-time position based in Halifax, Canada, with a focus on teamwork and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with CI / CD tools including GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins and Ansible.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm and Linux.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call support schedule.

  • Participate in and support an on-call rotation to ensure system reliability and uptime.

Overview

Position Description : We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Specialist to lead the modernization of our CI / CD infrastructure transitioning from Azure DevOps to GitHub. This role requires deep expertise in DevOps practices strong collaboration with development teams and the ability to support an on-call schedule for production environments.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement and maintain CI / CD pipelines using GitHub, Azure DevOps, Ansible and Jenkins
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to support an Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Provide hands-on support for CI / CD deployments across Non-Production and Production environments
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos and retrospectives
  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting for Web and API-based solutions
  • Support and maintain Kubernetes clusters using Helm
