Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or seafood industry.
  • Understanding of IT systems related to cost tracking.
  • Actively working toward CPA certification if not already obtained.

*ABOUT THE ROLE*The Senior Cost Accountant will play a critical role in evaluating inventory costs and ensuring financialaccuracy. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for developing precise cost calculationsand templates for audit and business planning purposes. You will work closely with the production,shipping, and receiving teams to ensure inventory accuracy and support the company?s financialreporting goals.*WHAT YOU?LL DO*? Conduct inventory evaluations at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.? Maintain accurate records of supply inventory and ensure correct valuation.? Collaborate with production, shipping, and receiving teams to streamline cost tracking.? Perform frequent inventory counts to verify accuracy.? Assist IT and company leadership in completing the inventory module in the ERP system.? Provide financial reporting and cost analysis, primarily focused on inventory valuation.*WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE*? 2+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or seafood industry.? CPA, CMA, or CGA designation, or actively working toward CPA certification.? Strong Excel skills, with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets.? Understanding of IT systems and data flows related to cost tracking.? Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.? Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across departments.*Nice-to-Have Qualifications*? Experience in seafood processing, manufacturing, or fish plant operations.?
