Senior Contracts Specialist

Remote Opportunity - Full-Time Permanent

About The Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Contracts Specialist is responsible for providing leadership and coordination in the development and implementation of contracting procedures and strategies for projects throughout Ensero. This role will provide expert guidance to project managers and other stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle—including contract development, negotiation, administration, change management, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project managers and business leaders in developing, drafting, and reviewing project contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements
  • Ensure that contracts are aligned with Company standards and that risks are clearly identified and appropriately mitigated through terms and conditions
  • Participate in contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and subcontractors as required
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal and commercial implications of contract terms
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, relevant legislation, and client requirements
  • Manage and process contract amendments and change orders, ensuring all changes are documented, authorized, and aligned with project scopes and budgets
  • Maintain accurate records of contract modifications and correspondence
  • Monitor contract performance and support project teams in addressing contractual obligations and deliverables
  • Provide guidance on contract-related issues with vendors and subcontractors, including claims, disputes, or breaches of contract
  • Liaise with legal counsel when appropriate to resolve disputes or escalate issues
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to project managers and cross-functional teams on contracting best practices
  • Provide training or coaching on contract terms, risk management strategies, and compliance requirements as needed
  • Manage special contracts-related projects that support the broad-based needs of a rapidly expanding Company
  • All other related duties as required.


About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or related field
  • 7 or more years of experience in contracts management, preferably in engineering, environmental consulting, or construction sectors
  • Experience with a variety of contract types (e.g., fixed price, time and materials, cost-plus) and commercial terms
  • Experience working in an environmental consulting or project consulting setting
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication
