Qualifications

• Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Three years of recent related clinical experience in acute gerontological nursing.
• Completion of post graduate coursework and/or certification applicable to gerontological nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership in care for acutely ill older adults.
• Perform comprehensive gerontological nursing assessments.
• Coach and mentor staff and students regarding older adult health care.
• Evaluate effectiveness of educational programs and consultations.
