Job description
Overview

The Senior Business Systems Analyst provides strategic business analysis services to business partners. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which the business operates. This role will be key to understanding the capabilities needed to address business challenges particularly in our client’s Mortgage Loans Originations process.

Responsibilities
  • Review with business partner and document business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial and technological requirements and risks.
  • Documents requirements, specifications, data mapping, business rules and makes recommendations to improve proposed solutions.
  • Communicates effectively with business partners to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management or technical team.
  • Documents workflows and perform processes mapping, results of business analysis and requirement gathering, obtain sign-off from business on the business requirement documentation.
  • Support user acceptance testing in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results.
  • Adhere to existing processes/standards including the system development life cycle and project management methodology, architecture and escalate issues if necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of project plans by participating in the scoping and estimating of proposed projects.
  • Communicate project status and provide timely escalation of issues to the Project manager or Application manager.
  • Provide exceptional services to IT and business areas.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years’ experience as business systems analyst/business analyst
  • 4+ years’ experience in financial industry is required
  • 2+ years of experience with data workflows – data mapping, process mapping
  • Experience in Loan Origination for Mortgages
  • Certified Business Analyst Profession (CBAP)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology

Contract
