Your role:
  • Preparation of compilation, review and audit engagements
  • Preparation of corporate, personal and trust income tax returns
  • Preparation of tax slips (T3, T4, T5, etc.)
  • Performing and leading audits
  • Identifying and resolving engagement issues
  • Supporting year-end planning
  • Developing and maintaining positive and productive working relationships
  • Direct field work and informing manager(s) of the engagement status
  • Developing strong technical audit, accounting and tax skills
  • Collaborating to ensure we provide an integrated financial and business solution that meets our clients' needs
What you bring to the table:
  • University degree in commerce or accounting
  • Attained a Canadian professional accounting designation (CPA, CA) or CPA in waiting
  • 3+ years experience at public accounting firm with a minimum of two years of audit and assurance experience
  • Working knowledge of Caseware, Taxprep/iFirm, Keystone, and Quickbooks preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Interest in managing and developing others
  • Ability to prioritize and manage deliverables, adhering to time and budget constraintsAbility to consistently meet deadlines, which can be conflicting with one another
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work and learn
  • An inclination for attention to detail and accuracy
  • A desire to be an integral part of a fun team environment
