Overview

Adecco is currently hiring a Senior Assembler for a full-time opportunity with potential for permanent hire. In this role, you will be responsible for building high-quality assemblies, performing precision soldering, and supporting new product introduction initiatives in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

  • Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 annually, based on experience
  • Location: Ottawa, ON
  • Contract Type: Temporary with potential for permanent hire
  • Schedule: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (flexible start / end times)

Key responsibilities
  • Build high-quality electromechanical assemblies
  • Read and interpret process documentation, bills of materials, drawings, and schematics
  • Perform precision soldering using soldering tools, microscopes, and specialized equipment
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) builds and design for manufacturing initiatives
  • Cross-train junior members of the Production team
  • Investigate root causes of failures, report findings, and document corrective actions in Jira
  • Collaborate with the team to drive process improvements and cross-training initiatives
Profile sought
  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • 4-6 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical and electronics assembly experience
  • Strong skills in assembly tools, crimping, multimeters, and handling sensitive components
  • Proven experience with fine soldering and high-precision work
  • Certified Technician (CTech) or GED
  • IPC-A-610 certification (strong asset)
  • Experience working with optics (asset)
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new programs
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Well-organized team player with strong mechanical aptitude
