Responsibilities

  1. Manage a team in producing architectural design solutions and construction drawings.
  2. Lead a group of architectural staff, facilitate project meetings, and coordinate all building disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
  3. Perform internal reviews and quality checks of models and drawings to ensure compliance with BIM standards.
  4. Research materials, products, and technologies required for design and incorporate them into details, specifications, and other documents.
  5. Manage a team of consultants.
  6. Communicate with clients effectively.
  7. Provide technical and administrative oversight to meet internal and external client needs, ensuring project delivery within cost, quality, and schedule targets.
  8. Manage project finances including planning, scheduling, forecasting, and staffing, working with accounting to achieve desired results.
  9. Travel to remote First Nation communities and work sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • Registered architect in Ontario (OAA), or eligible to be registered.
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with provincial and national standards and codes.
  • Knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT, AutoCAD, Microsoft 365, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with visualization software and Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
  • Experience or interest in working with Indigenous communities is an asset.
