Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Toronto

Salary range: $90,000-95,000

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's finance team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to financial operations, reporting accuracy, and process improvements in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and oversee the work of Staff Accountants to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Lead and support the month-end close process, ensuring timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Review and document internal controls, support external audit preparation.
  • Manage operational assets, including tracking, depreciation, and decommissioning activities.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing efficient accounting processes and internal controls to improve workflow and accuracy.
  • Support ongoing financial reporting in compliance with IFRS.

What we need from you:

  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS; knowledge of US GAAP is a strong asset.
  • CPA designation or near completion of the program.
  • Audit firm training is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to learn new technology quickly.
