Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Security System Designer to join our team, responsible for designing robust physical security solutions through detailed technical and construction drawings. The ideal candidate excels at translating complex client needs and architectural plans into precise security system layouts using CAD software. This role is critical to ensuring seamless integration of systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, and more—across small to large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with clients, project leads, sales, and engineers to understand security requirements and project objectives (CCTV, Access Control, Alarm, Networking…).
  • Develop detailed security system design drawings such as system layouts, riser diagrams, floor plans, and installation details.
  • Interpret architectural and construction drawings thoroughly to align security system designs with building infrastructure and client specifications.
  • Prepare engineering specifications, technical reports, and supporting documentation to guide installation and commissioning teams.
  • Stay up-to-date on evolving security technologies and industry standards to incorporate best practices into designs.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience designing physical security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and integrated security solutions.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or other for creating highly detailed CAD security drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of construction drawings and architectural plans, able to accurately incorporate security elements within structural constraints.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to produce precise, error-free security layouts and documentation.
  • Solid understanding of security system architectures, functionality, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients.
  • Relevant technical or engineering degree or diploma preferred but equivalent experience accepted.
