Job Description
Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Banking Operations Applications and FMBO Enterprise Architecture, this role focuses on developing and assessing security solutions within the bank’s enterprise architecture framework.
Must Haves
- University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of recent demonstrated work experience in the IT field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in developing Cyber Security Architecture.
- Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience working in a cyber assessment program.
- Experience with risk management and security control methodologies and frameworks (NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex security information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and Data Loss Prevention concepts.
- Knowledge of Cloud Architecture and Operations (Azure).
- Knowledge of application security (SDLC).
- Ability to work with an enterprise architecture framework and group.
- Knowledge of principles and best practices in software architecture and architectural/design patterns and frameworks.
Day to Day
- Develop security solutions architecture/design based on business, operational, technical, and security requirements while aligning with the bank’s enterprise architecture principles and cyber security standards.
- Assess technology solutions for compliance with the bank’s cyber security directives and standards, following the bank’s cyber risk & assessment framework.
- Work with solutions and project teams to mitigate and track cyber risks.
- Apply a threat modeling approach to cyber security risk measurement and reporting.
- Research and monitor technology developments and industry trends; assess applicability, functionality, and reliability for the bank, and recommend technologies that enhance productivity and client business objectives.
- Contribute to the development of the overall cyber security solution architecture processes, tools, standards, and templates.
Key Details
Contract term: Until December 31, 2026 with possible extension.
Work model: Remote in Ontario/Quebec is ideal. Will consider candidate from other provinces.
Security clearance: Must have Reliability Status.
