Qualifications

Overview

Security Guard - Rapid Response role at GardaWorld in Vancouver. The Rapid Response Officer plays a key role in the day-to-day operations and processes. GardaWorld is expanding in Vancouver and has a wide variety of contracts to help you reach your goals.

What does a Rapid Response Personnel do?
  • Assigned to the sites within 4 hours of short notice
  • Should be comfortable with training for 10-12 sites simultaneously
  • Attend all assigned patrols, alarms, and other dispatches within designated timing windows
  • Work proactively with area leadership to tackle arising challenges
  • Deploy to static sites to support security officers when required
  • Write clear, detailed reports submitted via electronic device (GTrack)
  • Operate numerous security-related electronic devices including mobile phones and radio systems
  • Report all instances of concern to leadership in a timely fashion
  • Other duties as assigned by the Account Manager
Qualifications to Become a Rapid Response Personnel
  • 1 to 3 years experience in Security Industry
  • Open Availability
  • Available to be deployed within 4 hours of short notice
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Valid BC security guard license and OFA1
  • Advanced Security Training (AST) - an asset
  • Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years
  • High school diploma or equivalent (proof of education required)
  • Able to pass Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • After-hours on-call availability required
  • Access to a personal vehicle
  • Class 5 driver’s license
