Job summary

Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, with a focus on surveillance, conflict management, and loss prevention. The Security Guard will monitor premises, conduct regular patrols, and respond to incidents as they arise.

We are currently hiring for two (2) guard positions.

• Site Supervisor (Morning shift in Scarborough)
• Patrol Guard (Morning shift downtown)
• Please do not apply for the site supervisor shift if you do not have at least 2yrs + of full-time supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to monitor activities within the facility.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, providing first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Prepare detailed incident reports for any security breaches or unusual occurrences.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary and assist in investigations as required.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property.
• Manage conflicts effectively through de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution skills.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques is advantageous.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
