Location: Alberta, Canada. Pay range: $22.99–$43.99 per hour. Shifts: 12-hour, day or night. Benefits include dental care, vision care, and extended health care. Tuition reimbursement may be available as part of the benefits package.

Job Description

We are looking to hire highly-skilled and dedicated Advanced Care Paramedics to join our team in Alberta. Successful candidates will provide advanced medical care in emergency and non-emergency situations; responding to medical incidents, providing advanced life support, and ensuring patient safety during transportation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Mentoring, training, and leading field staff to achieve corporate goals; supporting a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Conducting safety meetings and hazard assessments.
  • Working collaboratively with onsite representatives, staff, and other healthcare professionals, including EMTs, paramedics, nurses, and doctors.
  • Maintaining equipment and inventory; assisting/instructing others on safe patient transport and ongoing monitoring during transit.
  • Regularly inspecting, maintaining, and restocking medical equipment and supplies to ensure readiness for emergencies.
  • Accurately documenting patient information, inventories, medical interventions, and outcomes in compliance with company protocols and legal requirements.
  • Operating company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
Qualifications
  • Valid Advanced Care Paramedic certification from a recognized provincial licensing body in Alberta (and British Columbia, if applicable).
  • Previous experience as a paramedic with knowledge of federal and provincial health service regulations.
  • Unrestricted Class 4 driver’s license for ambulances; Class 5 for MTC or ETV.
  • Current Health Care Provider (HCP) CPR, BLS certifications.
  • CSO (Common Safety Orientation) valid; H2S Alive and First Aid Level C certificates are preferred.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and perform well in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; physically fit to perform demanding tasks, including lifting and transporting patients and equipment.
