Job summary

A local educational organization in Brampton is looking for an experienced Cleaner to join their team. The role is part-time (20 hours per week) during term time, focusing on maintaining cleanliness in a supportive educational environment. Qualifications

  • Previous professional experience of cleaning a large commercial building, preferably a school, college or university.
  • Able to lift and move heavy equipment.
  • Prepared to undergo training in health & safety, confidentiality and safeguarding practice.

Responsibilities

  • Vacuum cleaning and mopping floors.
  • Emptying and cleaning bins.
  • Cleaning toilets and bathroom spaces.
  • Replenishing bathroom supplies.
  • Dusting, polishing and straightening furniture and cupboard tops.
  • Tidying communal areas ensuring hazards are removed.
  • Wiping down paintwork including skirting boards and window ledges.

20 hours per week - £11,308.90 3pm – 7pm Monday – Friday

10 hours per week - £5,654.40 3pm-5pm Monday - Friday

Contract: Fixed Term, Term Time Only

Location: Brampton, Cumbria

We are currently seeking an experienced Cleaner to join our friendly local team. If you are someone with excellent attention to detail, high standards, and a desire to do your job to the best of your ability every day then a School Cleaner role may be the perfect job for you.

We would also consider candidates looking to do a job share role – 10 hours per week, per person.

Role responsibilities
  • Vacuum cleaning and mopping floors
  • Emptying and cleaning bins
  • Cleaning toilets and bathroom spaces
  • Replenishing bathroom supplies
  • Dusting, polishing and straightening furniture and cupboard tops
  • Tidying communal areas ensuring hazards are removed
  • Wiping down paintwork including skirting boards and window ledges
About You

  • Have a flexible approach to the work and prepared to carry out all reasonable cleaning tasks
  • Able to use a wide range of cleaning equipment and products appropriately
  • Prepared to undergo training in health & safety, confidentiality and safeguarding practice

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which will be met by Kirby Moor School.
