Qualifications
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Graduate of community college secretarial or office administration program or equivalent office experience
  • Medical Terminology Certificate 1 and 2 or demonstrated knowledge equivalent to the Medical Terminology Certificate 1 and 2 acquired in a different Business Clerk position, which may be subject to testing
  • Previous experience managing unit based work schedules
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook/MS Exchange, Peoplesoft Time and Labour data entry/reporting
  • Proficient Keyboard skills (40 wpm)
  • Demonstrate ability to solve problems
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently including establish prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to manage numerous and diverse activities in a high‑paced environment

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Scheduling Coordinator will be required to develop and maintain all aspects of staff schedules in accordance with the Collective Agreements and the specific staffing needs of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Program.

Additionally, the Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible for data entry and reconciliation of data on the PeopleSoft Time and Labour system including follow up on issues related to PeopleSoft activity.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Program provides a range of services for the health needs of women. The Program consists of 3 inpatient units (4B, 4C and Labour & Delivery), and 2 outpatient clinics (4B and 4F Women's Clinics).
