Job Title: CASUAL SCHEDULING ASSISTANT | #2066

Service Area: Scheduling

Location: Head Office

Start Date: September 15, 2025

Term / Status: Casual

Schedule / Hours: Weekdays and/or Weekends; 06:00–14:00 or 08:30–16:30 (shift times may vary based on department need); 7.5 hours per shift

Hourly Wage: $28.25 as per Collective Agreement

THE ROLE:

The Scheduling Assistant assigns on-call shifts on a daily basis and assists in the coordination of scheduling for the Client Services Department.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum certificate or diploma related to Staff Scheduling.
  • Minimum one year experience in a similar position or related duties.
  • Proficient in MS Office, and intranet applications; Staff Scheduling systems an asset.
  • Experience with shift management and staff scheduling activities is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with accurate processing of data and ability to detect irregularities.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language.
  • Excellent organizational and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidence.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is preferred.

Standard requirements of the Scheduling Assistant include:

  • Criminal Record Clearance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Demonstrated competency in English
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Eligible to work in Canada
