Job summary

A luxury fishing resort in British Columbia seeks a Fish Cutting & Packing Crew member for a seasonal position. Duties include fish processing, packaging, and maintaining sanitation standards. Ideal candidates will have experience in fish processing and must hold a Class 5 Driver’s License and a Pleasure Craft Operator Certificate. Competitive wages, accommodations, and meals are provided. Qualifications

  • Fish processing experience is a must.
  • Preference for candidates with previous remote resort experience.

Position: FishCutting & Packing Crew

As the FishCutting & Packing Crew, you will play a key role in the efficient operations of our Marine Center and the Fish Processing Facility. Responsibilities include:

  • Fish processing – cutting and cleaning salmon, halibut, lingcod, rockfish, etc.
  • Fish packaging – vacuum sealing fish portions daily, and boxing fish each trip‑end.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness following sanitation and food safety plans.
  • Use of a vacuum packaging machine and other large equipment.
  • Receiving and inventory management.
  • Waste removal, freight unloading, and other tasks as directed by the Dock Manager.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work this physical job for 6 days a week/16+ weeks, cutting fish daily.
  • Fish processing experience is a must.
  • Preference for candidates with previous remote resort experience and/or relevant certifications.
  • Class 5 Driver’s License required.
  • Pleasure Craft Operator Certificate (PCOC) required.
Additional Details
  • This is a seasonal position based on Langara Island, Haida Gwaii.
  • Contracts run from May to mid‑September, totaling approximately 3.5 months.
  • Room and board are provided, as well as flights to and from Vancouver.
