Sales Representative (Nova Scotia, Canada)

As a Sales Representative, you will serve as a technical consultant in our product portfolio, responsible for managing and growing specific business categories within Smith+Nephew in your assigned territory. Your goal is to ensure access to S+N technologies for patients by providing outstanding service to our customers.

This posting is part of a pipeline process for potential future openings.

What will you be doing?

You will leverage your expertise to convert physicians and accounts by making sales calls and providing clinical case coverage in the operating room. Additionally, you will train surgeons on Smith+Nephew products through educational programs in your territory. Collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, hospitals, OR staff, Sterile Processing Departments (SPD), administration, clinicians, and researchers will be essential. You will work cross-divisionally to increase awareness and adoption of products in our portfolio.

What will you need to be successful?

Your success depends on your ability to build strong, positive relationships with physicians, surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and hospital administrators. These relationships will help you deliver trusted, data-driven solutions and gain meaningful access to customers. You should be highly self-motivated and committed to becoming a technical expert in our product portfolio. Developing and executing a strategic territory business plan will be key to driving revenue and exceeding sales targets.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of direct sales experience, preferably in the medical device industry
  • Experience selling technology and/or capital products to multiple call points
  • Proven track record of sales/conversion success
  • Consistent achievement of sales quotas year over year
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members and new sales representatives

Travel Requirements: Within the designated sales territory with 2-4 overnight stays per month, depending on geography. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences.
