The Regional Sales Manager will lead the Regional Team of Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs) to drive profitable revenue growth within their assigned customer base. What you will do
- Contribute to the implementation and optimization of a focused sales strategy.
- Lead all aspects of team management including recruiting, onboarding, coaching and performance management.
- Build and manage a sales pipeline ensuring sustainable growth in all market sectors and across all product categories.
- Direct the flow of information for sales activities (lead management, opportunity management including price governance and contract negotiation) and evaluate data to ensure that top-line sales and profit margin goals are met.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product management, procurement, supply chain and branch operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and vendor partners to increase market share and deliver profitable growth.
- Represent the company at industry events to promote products and services.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market developments to identify new opportunities for growth.
- As Wolseley continues to grow and enhance its operations, the Regional Sales Manager will be a leading change agent, contributing to the implementation of identified sales effectiveness and sales enablement initiatives to best leverage the knowledge and skills of their team.
- Direct the flow of information for sales activities and transactions (leads, billings, orders and contracts) and evaluate data to ensure that goals are met.
- Assist in the annual budget planning process and regularly monitor team expenditures.
- Respond to inquiries and research and resolve problems related to sales, serve as liaison, working with other departments in the resolution of day-to-day customer service, administrative and operational issues.

What you will bring
- Post Secondary education plus a minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years related experience, including a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years progressive sales experience, preferably within the wholesale distribution industry, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Industry product knowledge related to Company product lines and markets served
- Knowledgeable of the competition and aware of strategy and tactics
- Proven ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of responsibility (internal and external) to prepare and deliver professional documents and presentations
- Consistently meeting deadlines within a fast-paced work environment and works effectively within time constraints
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Fluency in CRM (Salesforce), experience with integration of related apps such as ConstructConnect, ZoomInfo and other sales enablement tools
