A leading staffing agency is seeking a Clerical Support Associate / Retail Sales to provide excellent customer service in Thunder Bay, ON. The role includes serving customers, handling inquiries, and reconciling cash while adhering to corporate policies. Ideal candidates have customer service and retail experience, are organized, and can work in a team. This is a temporary assignment with potential for permanent placement and offers weekly pay with immediate start.

Qualifications

Job Details

Job Title: Clerical Support Associate / Retail Sales

Location: Thunder Bay, ON

Pay rate: $17.60

Working hours: Monday to Friday 1pm to 6pm (possible for extension)

What’s the Job?
  • Serving customers in the most efficient and courteous manner on the telephone and in person
  • Up-selling and cross selling Corporate products and services
  • Handling customer complaints and inquiries
  • Working to resolve problem shipments
  • Working to resolve equipment and technology challenges
  • Working with and building a positive relationship with Head Office, local management, drivers, warehousing staff, account managers, and other Corporate partners to ensure excellence in customer service
  • Assisting customers with shipping details and account challenges
  • Loading, scanning, logging and calling resolution freight
  • Cash reconciliation including deposits, key control
  • Compliance to all corporate policies and procedures (including uniforms)
  • Adhering to all safety standards
  • Being on time/attendance
  • Living the Purolator values
  • Representing the Purolator values to customers and key partners
  • Ability to lift 70lbs/stand for 3 hour intervals
  • Other duties as assigned by management
What’s Needed?
  • 3-12 months customer service experience preferred
  • 3-12 months retail experience preferred
  • 3-12 months using technology/POS system experience preferred
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
  • Attention to process, quality, and operational standards
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
