Job Description:
The Retail Representative is responsible for selling, distributing, and merchandising Mars Wrigley products at retail outlets (all channels) in an assigned territory (Windsor & Surrounding Area). This position requires the incumbent to work 3 days (24 hours)/week.
What are we looking for?
- A High School diploma is a minimum requirement.
- Ability to lift product (maximum lifting requirement 50 pounds).
- Ability to drive approximately 100 km daily while making sales calls.
- Ability to sustain repeated movement which includes but is not limited to in and out of car movement, bending, leaning, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping motions.
- Sales experience would be an asset.
- Ability to secure the required level of vehicle insurance coverage as determined by Mars Canada Inc.
- Valid Canadian driver’s license.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Sell in and maintain distribution of assigned products.
- Present display programs to customers and suggest orders.
- Present and sell booking sheets to stores.
- Ensure all listed products are stocked and properly displayed on shelves with store price tags.
- Replenish display fixtures, including Mars Wrigley Canada racks.
- Work with customers to secure secondary space for building displays.
- Apply POS or other marketing materials where applicable.
- Rotate products on-shelf and in backroom to ensure quality and freshness.
- Maintain accurate data (customer info, survey recordings, tracking, etc.) in field sales data collection software.
- Manage territory through effective customer coverage, optimizing time and resources.
- Plan and organize route schedules according to company call coverage model (frequency and time-in call).
- Keep DSM updated on territory activity.
- Maintain sufficient stock of merchandising supplies and POS materials.
- Follow company procedures for processing credits and cheques.
