Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Food & Beverage, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant with active presence on the floor leading your team to deliver service excellence including opening/closing duties and cleaning/maintenance.
  • Supervising F&B colleagues, including evaluating performance, taking corrective action and celebrating successes on a continuous basis.
  • Analyzing Food & Beverage business trends to develop accurate forecasts and strategies to maximize revenues and profits.
  • Constantly seeking out creative ways to improve overall revenues and profitability, such as promotional programs and merchandising and special events.
  • Accountable for driving revenue and profit through the development and implementation of strategies, practices and promotions while in keeping with the overall concept.
  • Controlling and analyzing monthly beverage inventories and ensuring sanitation, cleanliness, and hygiene in both the front and back of the house on an ongoing basis.
  • Participating in all fields of administrative work required, including scheduling, opening/closing duties, cleaning and maintenance checklists.
Qualifications

Progressive management experience in restaurants & bars management and previous leadership experience in an equivalent role Degree/Diploma in a recognized Hotel and Restaurant Management Program an asset Must be Smart Serve certified Knowledge of the Silverware system, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Excellent culinary/beverage knowledge along with acumen for current market trends Familiarity of general accounting principles and policies. Previous experience in a unionized environment an asset. Bilingual in both official languages is an asset. Proven ability to drive revenues and profit, without sacrificing colleague and guest experiences Excellent communication and organizational skills
