Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Representative, Logistics to join our team, blending operational expertise with strong attention to detail. In this role, you will oversee container dispatch operations, ensuring efficient scheduling and on-time deliveries. A primary responsibility will be managing Dynamics cases and answering phone calls from truckers and vendors to support day-to-day operations with accuracy and responsiveness. Beyond daily coordination, you will leverage your data-analysis skills to generate performance reports and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Your communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities will be essential for collaborating with internal teams and building productive relationships with strategic partners. Key Tasks
  • Support vendors and truckers by responding to calls and emails, providing clear instructions and operational guidance.
  • Assist in securing trucking capacity to ensure containers are moved efficiently and according to Logistics requirements.
  • Manage and update Dynamics cases daily, ensuring accurate information flow and timely case resolution.
  • Generate the weekly asset-monitoring report and conduct follow-ups on high-dwell containers to reduce delays and improve asset utilization.
  • Ensure full conformity with HQ off-hire and container sale processes, following global guidelines and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Maintain precise records of all dispatch and logistics activities, ensuring proper documentation and reporting consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to optimize logistics workflows and enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the Finance team to review and approve trucking-related invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a logistics environment (preferably dispatching) or in a similar role within a related industry.
  • University education required; studies in Supply Chain or a related field considered a strong asset.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills, with the ability to expand technical capabilities as needed.
  • Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Demonstrated experience handling a high volume of phone calls in an operational or vendor-facing environment.
  • Effective communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities to interact with vendors, truckers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and an analytical mindset.
  • Bilingual in English and French, an asset.
