Overview

The Alberta Council for Global Cooperation (ACGC), on behalf of the Inter-Council Network for Provincial and Regional Councils (ICN), is seeking a qualified individual to join this initiative in the role of Project Officer for the Spur Change National Program.

APPLICATION DETAILS

  • POSITION TITLE: Project Officer

  • SALARY: $45,200/year + benefits
  • REPORTS TO: Spur Change National Director
  • LOCATION: Edmonton preferred, from the ACGC office. Remote may be considered.

  • TERM: 1 August 2023 – 31 March 2024. Possibility of extension pending grant funding.

PROGRAM CONTEXT

ACGC, on behalf of the Inter-Council Network, implements a capacity building initiative entitled Spur Change: Knowledge Sharing & Capacity Building, to enhance the contribution of Canadian Small and Medium Organizations (SMOs) to Canada’s international development efforts towards achieving gender equality, the empowerment of women and girls, poverty reduction, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting to the National Spur Change Director of ACGC, the Project Officer will be responsible for providing full program administrative support, including assisting with administration, finance, logistics, communications, and supporting the monitoring activities of the Spur Change program, in accordance with Global Affairs Canada (GAC) standards.
