Position Overview

As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in conducting comprehensive counselling and treatment to Veterans. Your clinical expertise, attention to detail, and compassion will ensure that every individual you see feels supported and understood.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic services to Veterans. Core responsibilities include:
  • Deliver high-quality clinical care utilizing modalities such as Mindfulness-Based Approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including session notes, assessments, treatment plans, and relevant client communications.
  • Uphold professional standards and ethical guidelines as outlined by the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop individualized goals and therapeutic strategies that support mental health and well-being.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and supervision to ensure the delivery of current, evidence-informed practices.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychology from an educational institution recognized by the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers (NBASW).
  • 5+ years of Social Work experience working with adults (PTSD, trauma, addiction, etc.).
  • Registered and in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers.
  • Foundational training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and/or Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
