Overview

New RPN job in LTC in Ingersoll & Brantford. We are now hiring Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) for senior living homes in Ingersoll & Brantford. Our client provides a competitive compensation package and this is a 3 or 6-month full-time contract with health and dental benefits. Current certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (RPN) and be able to provide a copy of the nursing license to indicate good standing.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles and provide nursing care in accordance with policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  • Identify the needs of residents and develop and maintain appropriate care plans.
  • Ensure a timely and accessible admission for the residents.
  • Ensure the supply, control and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts.
Qualifications
  • RPN - Diploma in Practical Nursing, current registration as Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Sound nursing knowledge in geriatric care and nursing administration.
  • Knowledge of the requirements of the Nursing Home Act and Regulations, the appropriate sections of the Health Disciplines Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, Food & Drug Act.
