More than 16,000 patients undergo surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital every year. We are experts in and globally recognized for our specialized Cancer, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Orthopedic Surgery programs. Specialties utilizing the Main Operating Room/Cysto are General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Otolaryngology, Lasers, Ophthalmology, Oral Surgery and Orthopaedics - both Reconstructive and Sarcoma. The Main Operating Room has 3 state-of-the-art Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) suites. This team has sponsorship opportunities available for nurses interested in obtaining OR certification. A unique staff recognition and appreciation program F.R.O.G. (Forever Recognize Others Greatness) enhances team dynamics, while a Pet Board and Tree of Kindness encourages staff to celebrate each other.
