Goshenite Seniors Services Inc is looking for a Registered Practical Nurse – Footcare Specialist.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Foot Care Nurse is responsible for ensuring that the quality of the Foot Care services to patients in the community and facility setting is compliant with legislation and standards of practice.

• Conduct foot assessments and provide a foot care treatment
• Adheres to the safe work/risk management policies and procedures of Goshenite
• Works within the Ethical Practice Framework of Goshenite
• Continually assesses, anticipates, identifies and responds to new and changing needs of clients and communicates available Goshenite services to clients when appropriate

Qualifications:

• Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
• Valid driver’s license and has a reliable vehicle
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills in dealing with the public, staff and outside agencies in a courteous and effective manner
• Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office applications
• Satisfactory health, attendance and former employment history
• Provide, at own cost, a Criminal Reference Check
• Provide, at own cost, a Two-Step Mantoux Test (TB)
