Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN) part of Ontario Health is currently seeking a highly motivated permanent part-time (0.60 FTE) Specialist Organ and Tissue Donation for the Thunder Bay and surrounding area with a history of excellence in clinical practice who thrives on making a difference.
The incumbent will report directly to the Manager Hospital Programs and act as the TGLN liaison in their designated hospitals guiding developing and implementing hospital policy that supports an effective organ and tissue donation program through the incorporation of best practices.
The Specialist Organ & Tissue Donation will also guide each step of the donation process including donor identification through referral indicators donor suitability assessment death determination approach and consent with families and medical donor management optimizing organ yield for recipient transplantation.
Employment Type : Permanent part- time 0.60 FTE
Employment Location : Thunder Bay and surrounding area
