As the RN, you’ll lead the care team, develop personalized care plans, assess residents’ needs, and perform essential nursing interventions, including medication administration, treatments, and patient transfers.

About The Role

As a Registered Nurse at Baptist Housing, you will provide compassionate, high-quality, person-centered care to our residents. Your role is crucial in ensuring their health, safety, and well-being in a warm and welcoming environment. This role is a maternity leave coverage for about 18 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care based on individualized resident needs.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications and treatments following best practices and safety protocols.
• Advocate for residents'' well-being, fostering a person-centered approach to care.
• Supervise and mentor care staff, promoting teamwork and professional development.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and use electronic health records effectively.
• Contribute to a positive and respectful workplace culture.

Your work location is in the seaside city of White Rock. Our Evergreen community is located at 1550 Oxford Street.

Requirements

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• A minimum of one year of experience in geriatric, palliative, or complex care is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Commitment to a person-centered approach to care.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and electronic health records.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Compensation & Benefits
