Job description
Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology position in Jasper, AB. This is a temporary long-term assignment with a minimum commitment of 24 months with the opportunity to extend to a permanent position. The role is in Jasper with relocation considerations noted.

Job details include full-time status with a pay range of $33.00–$53.55 per hour. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, paid time off, vision care, relocation assistance, life insurance, an employee assistance program, and disability insurance.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients\' health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
  • Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Cerner.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care quality.
  • Participate in pain management strategies for patients experiencing discomfort.
  • Assist in laboratory procedures and understand medical terminology relevant to patient care.
  • Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Current RN license in Canada or USA (preferred).
  • Canadian Passport, USA Passport or Green Card (preferred). We do not sponsor work authorization.
  • Extended orientation provided on each unit.
  • Open to experienced RNs and New Grad RNs; New Grad Residency Program available for RNs who recently graduated with a BScN.
  • For Experienced RNs: 1–2 years current RN experience on a Med/Surg floor or similar acute care unit; direct patient care in hospital or LTC setting.
  • IENs with minimum 1 year of current RPN/LPN/RN experience within the last 24 months in Canada or the USA may be considered.
  • Ability to work in diverse clinical settings with strong clinical and communication skills.
Benefits & Relocation
  • Relocation funds up to $1,500 to cover visa screening, licensing, and related expenses.
  • One month of hotel stay provided on arrival; housing team to assist with accommodation and orientation.
  • $12,000 bonus paid 50% at 3 weeks and 50% after 12 months, contingent on minimum 24-month commitment.
  • Tuition reimbursement, extended health care, commuter benefits, life insurance, paid time off, relocation assistance, and vision care.
