Nurse Residency - Younker 7 Med/Surg - Methodist

Full-Time: Days, Evenings, or Nights, every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Shift differentials available for qualifying shifts

Younker 7 cares for acute care patients with medical diagnoses, including sepsis, pulmonary diagnoses, diabetes, heart failure, electrolyte imbalances, etc. The unit collaborates with the Physician Internal Medicine Residency Program and leads in innovative patient care initiatives. Emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, and innovation in patient care.

Responsibilities

All newly licensed RNs with less than six months of acute RN experience are required to participate in the RN Residency program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Newly licensed nurse within the last 6 months or with less than 6 months of acute RN experience.
• Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
• Completion of residency program within the first 12 months of employment.
• Dept of Labor Level III Medium Work: exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
