A regional health authority in Victoria, Nova Scotia is looking for registered nurses to provide direct patient care both in hospitals and within the community. Applicants should have an active RN registration and ideally possess up to two years of experience, coupled with necessary specialty certifications when required. The role emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to manage workloads efficiently, fostering a safe environment for patients and colleagues.
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reports to the Nurse Manager, Department Head, or designate. Plans and provides direct nursing care to patients/residents in the hospital or in the community in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. Up to two (2) years recent, related experience depending on clinical setting.
