Rockcliffe Child Care Centre (RCCC) is looking for a contract, full-time (8hrs/shift) Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our RCCC Family!

Candidates should possess the ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, have knowledge of the Ministry of Education's CCEYA (2014) legislation and the 'How Does Learning Happen Framework', and be able to work as part of a committed and dedicated team.

Responsibilities
  • Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents and families
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a positive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess the progress of each child and provide feedback to parents
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations
Qualifications
  • Registered Early Childhood Educator in Good Standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Previous experience working in childcare or early childhood education
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively plan and manage daily activities
  • Proficiency in English; Other languages are an asset
  • Ability to educate and engage children in learning activities
  • Familiarity with computerized learning tools and resources
  • Experience working with children in a classroom setting
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues
Requirements
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification
  • Updated Health Assessment and Immunization
  • Clear Police Reference Check for Vulnerable Sector (within 6 months of employment)
