Salary: $100,000 - $125,000

Barnett Dembek Architects is growing! We are hiring a Registered Architect - AIBC based in our Surrey office.

Part of Group 161, which includes Atelier Pacific Architecture and DF Architecture, we offer a collaborative environment with growth opportunities. Our firm specializes in residential, mixed-use, commercial, and civic buildings, working on projects from wood-frame multi-family to high-rise residential.

Position: Registered Architect registered with AIBC.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in architecture, preferably in Canada.
  • Project management experience, leading teams and overseeing complex residential projects.
  • Experience with local authority approvals, rezoning, and permits.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp; knowledge of other design software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of local building codes (Part 3 / Part 9) and construction practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design and delivery of multi-family and residential projects from start to finish.
  • Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and documents in compliance with codes.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to meet project goals.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality standards while maintaining design excellence.
