About the role

You will assume the role of a Recreation Centre Worker, which will include the responsibility of being cross trained in all areas of the recreation centre; Front Desk, Bowling Attendant, Day Camp Worker, Bartender, with the flexibility to be trained and certified as a Lifeguard or Pool instructor.

The position will be on casual basis and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario. We offer a competitive salary and future growth.

Key result areas in this role include:

• Greeting customers and answering the telephone
• Accept payments, bookings and registrations
• Be responsible for the safety of customers and co-workers and follow emergency procedures
• Maintain pool records
• Prepare food for birthday parties, accept booking, restock the bowling facilities/ lounge
• Schedule and assist with birthday parties and other organized functions
• Monitor the weight room patrons
• Maintain cleanliness of lobby, party rooms, viewing areas, and change rooms
• Other tasks as assigned

About you

As a Recreation Centre Worker, you must be 18 years of age or older, be able to receive payments, maintain cleanliness of the work area, and enforce facility rules and various tasks as assigned. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate the ability to be:

• Friendly, courteous, and uphold a high level of customer service
• Must be able to work efficiently and multi-task & work with minimal to no supervision
• Pleasant, flexible and cooperative
• Ensures confidentiality in all company dealings
• Fosters a balanced, positive work environment
• Experience in customer service or receptionist duties is an asset.
