Administrative Support role at Scandinavian Building Services. We are a Canadian leader in retail and commercial cleaning with 60 years of experience. This is a contract position ending May 29, 2026.

What your day to day will look like

Reporting into the Manager of Administrative Services, this is a contract position working in the head office based in Edmonton.

Hours: Monday–Friday 7:45am – 4:15pm with a 1-hour lunch (30 minutes paid and 30 minutes unpaid).

  • Acting as first point of contact for clients and executives in a prompt manner, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanour
  • Overseeing and managing email correspondence, calendar appointments, scheduling, and taking meeting minutes
  • Completing data entry by compiling, exporting and inputting data into simplified and visually appealing reports
  • Creating professional presentations to showcase reports to executives and clients
What you’ll need to succeed
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of administrative experience, including reception
  • Experience operating a multi-line telephone
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (French is an asset)
  • Experience in office and/or event management is an asset
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity at all times
  • Excellent computer skills; proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with 8x8 or other VOIP systems
  • Strong communication with a polished and professional presentation
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency in completing tasks and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational skills

  • 20-minute preliminary phone interview with our Recruiter
  • 40-minute to 1-hour assessment (soft skills and personality)
  • 30-minute MS Teams video interview with the Hiring Manager and direct Supervisor for the role
