Real Estate Associate – Ottawa

We’re working with a well-established and respected law firm in downtown Ottawa that is looking to add a Real Estate Associate to their team. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative and client-focused environment, with exposure to high-quality files and cross-practice collaboration.

The Role:
The successful candidate will support clients across a full range of real estate matters, including residential and commercial transactions, financing, development, leasing, and municipal issues. You’ll work closely with colleagues in corporate, tax, litigation, and estates to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on transactions involving real property.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate agreements and related legal documents.

  • Manage files from start to finish, including addressing issues that arise during transactions.

  • Collaborate with other practice areas to ensure strong client service.

Qualifications:

  • Called to the Ontario Bar and in good standing.

  • At least one year of experience (including articling) focused on real estate law.

  • Strong drafting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Exposure to corporate, tax, municipal, litigation, or real estate development law is an asset.
