Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalence.
• Write and pass safety and rules exams.
• Acquire and maintain Conductors Rule Card.
• A valid passport for Canada and the US.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with train orders and safety regulations.
• Assemble and dismantle trains in the rail yard.
• Operate track switches to change routes.
• Inspect the condition of a train and its equipment.

Skills

Proficiency in both oral and written communications (English / French)

Decision making in emergency situations

Ability to operate track switches

Effective communication with Rail Traffic Control
